Fairfield does not have a tourist attraction but the city is rich with history. Fairfield is a valued and historic community. Willie Mays called Fairfield home and played baseball for the Negro Leagues and the Major League Baseball. Willie Mays Park holds the potential to allow Fairfield to have a tourist attraction. Park improvements can make it a destination for family reunions, baseball tournaments, and festivals. The site has the potential to be a site for the Fairfield Historical Society Museum.
